The most convenient and fastest transport in Paris is the metro – one of the oldest in Europe, its first line was opened on July 19, 1900. At present, the semi-state company RATP is engaged in the operation of the metro.
The Paris metro consists of 16 lines (14 complete and 2 complementary, two lines at the ends of the ramification) with a total length of 212.5 km, which makes it one of the largest in the world
